How media bookings work
PLEASE READ THIS PRIOR TO SCHEDULING
This calendar is designed for media interviews, briefings, and background conversations. Please review the guidelines below for both video and audio/phone bookings so everything runs smoothly.
General
- Email: please use your work-issued or work-related email address when booking to help verify your identity.
- Changes / cancellations: to edit a link, reschedule, or cancel, open the confirmation email and use the "make changes to this event" link at the bottom.
Zoom / virtual (video or audio)
- Please do not send a separate Zoom link by email. Instead, paste the Zoom (or other platform) link directly into the booking form. Due to calendar integrations, improperly formatted or missing links may cause the meeting to be cancelled by an AI assistant.
- A valid link to Zoom (or another supported platform) is required at the time of scheduling, since the event is immediately added to my calendar with those details.
- If you are not using Zoom, please specify the platform (Skype, in-house web platform, etc.). I will be joining from an iPhone and cannot install additional apps on an actively managed device.
- If your platform is web-based, please ensure it can be used fully in a browser without downloading an app. As a result, platforms like WebEx, Riverside, and Zencastr do not work on my setup.
Phone / audio-only interviews
- For phone interviews, please call me at the scheduled time using the number provided in the confirmation email.
- Phone interviews cannot be converted into virtual/video interviews. If there are slots available for phone but not for video, it reflects resource limitations for video at that time.
If none of the available times work for your newsroom or you are on a very tight deadline, you can also reach out via the contact form after reviewing these notes.
To get the most from your time
A few quick notes that help interviews run smoothly for both live and pre-recorded conversations.
